▼ DAILY ITINERARY ▼
You will be met at the Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu by one of the Mountain Biking Worldwide team members and transferred to a 3*+ hotel in the Thamel district of Kathmandu. There will be time to unwind and unpack etc. before an informal evening meal with the rest of the riders and crew.
Whilst the riders enjoy breakfast at the hotel, the luggage and bikes will be loaded onto the tour vehicle for the transfer to Pokhara.
Those that have opted to fly to Pokhara will be transferred to the domestic airport for the 30 minute flight. Those that have opted road transfer will be collected from the hotel for the approximate 8 hour transfer. On arrival to Pokhara you will check into the hotel, which leaves time in the late afternoon / evening to stretch the legs and explore the town.
Fewa Lake loop: 52km Ride – 1487m Ascent
After a nutritious breakfast, you will head out on a 7km ride along lakeside to the first of the off road loops, Fewa Lake. The total off-road riding today is 38km with 1487m of climbing and the trails will be steep and challenging. There are, however, a number of points where you can cut the ride short and return to Pokhara should there be any tired legs.
The course climbs and criss crosses the mountains surrounding the prominent Peace Stupa before descending on some awesome singletrack back down to the lakeside and a 7km cool down ride back to the hotel.
The afternoon and evening will be free to stretch out, relax and explore the Lakeside town of Pokhara with its many delicious local and continental eateries.
Kristi Hill: 62km Ride – 1840m Ascent
Following the same routine as yesterday, but you will be heading out to Kristi Hill. A 6km ride will get you to the trail head where another 50km of scintillating off road trails awaits. Again, don’t worry if you’re not up for the full 50km as there are plenty of escape routes.
The trail is 2 loops with the second loop being much tougher than the first and some really steep climbs rewarded with awesome views across to snowcapped mountains.
Begnas Lake loop: 75km Ride – 1600m Ascent
You know the score by now! The ride to the start of the trails is the longest of the lot at 15km, but you will be rewarded with panoramic views of Begnas lake as you ride the 45km of off road awesomeness. As always there are many short cuts for those that want a more leisurely ride.
The course starts from the beautiful Begnas lake and climbs up to Kalika top before descending via a different route back down to Begnas followed by a loop around Rupa lake on undulating trails.
Bat Cave Loop: 67km Ride – 1850m Ascent
The last day of riding but no need to take your foot off the gas if you don’t want to.
Our guides are happy to go as fast or as slow as you like and can accommodate those wanting a total workout or those who’d rather take in the stunning views.
Either way, even with the full 47km off road loop there should still be time today to explore the bat caves before heading on a 10km ride back to the hotel.
After breakfast you will return to Kathmandu either by plane or coach (the choice is yours at time of booking).
Once back in Kathmandu (for those that chose to fly) there will be time in the afternoon for some trinket shopping or to explore some of the many temples and places of interest in the city.
Today one of the MTB-WW representatives will wish you farewell as you transfer to the airport ready for your departure home. Alternatively if you are staying on in Nepal you can continue with your own itinerary, or why not get in touch for a full list of activities that we offer!

All our guides are mechanically adept and will be able to fix most bike problems out on the trail. There will also be a separate vehicle and guide to transport all the luggage and to ensure your hotel / guesthouse is ready for your arrival after a hard days riding.
