Meet The Team

Get to know the passionate minds behind our work. Together, we bring diverse skills and experiences to deliver exceptional results for our clients and community.

Phil

MTB-WW Founder

Phil is the creative force – and resident risk-taker – of the team. He is the one dreaming up new ideas, designing routes and shaping events, always with the next adventure in mind. Alongside that, he heads up marketing, branding and all the areas creatives tend to thrive in.

A lifelong rider, Phil started out as a bike mechanic in Jersey and has clocked up some seriously impressive adventures over the years. Whilst mountain biking was his first love, he’s recently been venturing more into gravel terrain.

His past adventures include cycling the length of Alaska, completing the Annapurna Circuit in three days (prior to the jeep road!), crossing the Thorong La pass an incredible 18 times and taking on a huge desert crossing the Australia. His favourite thing to do on a bike is climb (he is slightly eccentric!) and have an epic adventure on the way.

When he’s not riding, Phil’s other passion is animals. He is the co-founder of Helping Paws, a driving force behind its creation and has a deep commitment to animal welfare. More often than not, you’ll find him with a pocket full of dog treats, ready to make new four-legged friends wherever he goes.

Phil’s favourite thing about working at MTB-WW:

“Getting to ride my bike in awesome locations all around the world and fussing dogs, what could be better?”

Ajay

Lead Guide in Nepal and part of MTB-WW family since the inception!

Ajay has been with us since the VERY beginning and is a mountain biker through and through. A former 5-time Nepal National Mountain bike champion and 5-time Yak Attack winner, he’s now a retired racer, husband and proud father to a young son.

He first joined us as a racer at our very first Yak Attack and remains the only member of the team to have been at every single edition since. He has now transitioned from a racer to organiser.

As our lead guide in Nepal, Ajay manages all in-country logistics ensuring every trip runs seamlessly from start to finish. Ajay is an incredible photographer and skilled mechanic, so whichever tour you join, you’ll be guaranteed to come away with a collection of unforgettable photos.

Far too altruistic for his own good, Ajay has been involved in multiple charity endeavours and is always looking at how to give back to his community. He is especially passionate about inspiring the next generation, by finding new ways to support and encourage young riders across Nepal.

Ajay’s favourite thing about working at MTB-WW:

“The MTB-WW team, riding my bike and meeting awesome clients! ”

Corinne

Corinne's job role is hard to pin down...

Corinne joined the team in 2016 and marked the occasion with a bold introduction to altitude, by tackling the Throng La pass at 5,416m elevation… It was a steep learning curve (with a few tears along the way), but it sparked a lasting love for the mountains and adventure.

Corinne is your go-to for just about anything. She keeps everything and everyone organised, and is always up for a good chat – In fact, chatting is one of her defining traits!

When she’s not keeping things running smoothly, you’ll likely find her on recce missions and rides, discovering new routes (no matter how rough or “unrideable” they may seem…), chasing her next mountain adventure, attempting to befriend every dog she comes across.. or generally seeking out the cool flora and fauna that the world has.

Corinne’s favourite thing about working at MTB-WW:

“Obviously, the team… but mainly getting to head out on location, experience just how beautiful the World is, meet incredible people, ride bikes & have epic adventures!”
