Mountain biker riding over a bridge in the Kali Gandaki River Valley

Mountain and Gravel cycling holiday, event and race specialists

MTB-WW was founded in 2007 by Company Director Phil Evans. Despite cycling being his main hobby (although he was a triathlete in his younger years), he decided that for his first running marathon he would take on the Everest Marathon in Nepal… which starts at 5,200m above sea level and covers 26 miles over rugged mountain terrain!

Whilst he was there, he fell in love with the trails and realised that they had the potential to be AMAZING for mountain biking, and that’s when our first event, Yak Attack, was born!

Since then, the company has grown (although not by much) and we’ve organised numerous cycling events and holidays in various locations. We are now predominantly focused in Nepal and Sri Lanka. Although we are always searching for new routes, new places and exciting adventures to be able to share with you all!

Even now, and the company still has the same core values as when Phil first founded it. We’re a small, independent company with cycling adventures at its heart.

Whilst MTB-WW is only a small team, we have BIG values

  • We are all passionate about riding bikes, travel, adventure and encouraging others to come and do it with us.
  • We want to create EPIC events on the routes less travelled, whilst giving back to the communities that we go through.
  • Having a positive impact on the places that we travel through, whether that be by direct money into the economy, reducing plastic waste, reducing emissions through cycling, projects to encourage cycling or different projects to help drive sustainability i.e. safe drinking water, promoting conservation efforts, contributing to community animal vaccinate and neuter projects etc.
  • No matter the destination, whether it is on the easier or harder extremes of riding, it’s always going to be an adventure.
  • MTB-WW ensure that all our staff have the appropriate training for their jobs, that they are paid above market average and that we provide them with incentives. This means that you can relax in the knowledge that we’ll always have your safety as a priority, whilst at the same time knowing that your trip will be expertly catered for!
  • We have an open-door policy, meaning that whether you want to ask some questions, get some insight, all you have to do is drop us an email or WhatsApp and we’ll be happy to help.
