We’re bringing a small number of Genesis CDA 20 gravel bikes out to Ride SriLankan 2027, available for hire for anyone who’d rather not ship their own bike halfway round the world.
The details
Hire is £200 for the entire event, which includes a daily clean and service — so the bike is looked after and ready to go every morning without you having to think about it. We only have a limited number available, and they’ll be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Why the Genesis CDA 20
The CDA 20 is Genesis‘s premium gravel bike in the CDA range, built around a lightweight 6061 aluminium ALX8 frame paired with a chromoly fork — the steel fork takes the edge off rougher surfaces without adding the weight of a full steel frame. It’s fitted with a Shimano CUES 2×10 drivetrain, giving a wide enough gear range to handle climbs fully loaded and still keep pace on faster sections.
The geometry is relaxed and stable rather than race-focused, which suits multi-day riding with variable terrain and a support vehicle rather than a solo time trial. Wide tyre clearance and disc brakes round out a bike that’s genuinely built for exactly the kind of riding Ride SriLankan involves — mixed surfaces, real distances, and days that add up.
About Genesis
Genesis is a UK bike brand that began life in 2001 as a single model — the Day One — built under the Ridgeback name. It proved popular enough that Genesis became its own brand in 2006. The company built its reputation on steel-framed touring and adventure bikes, most notably the Croix de Fer, released in 2008 and still one of the most recognised names in UK all-road cycling.
